MIGNON BUNS BREAD

MIGNON BUNS BREAD

Ingredients:

  • One cup milk
  •  one cup water
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon yeast
  • Two eggs
  • 1 cup yogurt, natural
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 2 tsp salt
  • Flour, quantity as needed
  • Some sesame seeds

Instructions:

  1. Activate the Yeast: In a bowl, mix warm milk (around 110°F), sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Make a well in the center.
  3. Combine wet ingredients: Add activated, yeast mixture, melted butter, and beaten egg into the well of the dry ingredients.
  4. Knead the Dough: Mix a little butter softened by rubbing with the palm then mix the wet and dry ingredients together until it forms a dough. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  5. First Rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel or plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-2 hours or until it doubles in size.
  6. Shape the Buns: After the dough has risen, punch it down to release the air. Divide it into equal-sized portions and shape them into round buns. Place the buns on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving some space between each bun.
  7. Second Rise: Cover the buns with a kitchen towel or cling film and let them rise again for about 30-45 minutes until they puff up. Mix 1 egg yolk and coffee for the toppings brushing and garnish with sesame seeds
  8. Preheat and Bake: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Once the buns have risen, bake them in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until they turn golden brown.
  9. Cool and Serve: Remove the buns from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack. Once cooled, use them for your Mignon Burger Bread or any other sandwiches.
