 PANSIT BIHON GUISADO WITH SHRIMPS



Pancit Bihon or Pancit Guisado is a Filipino noodle dish and is a staple second to rice. This was brought by the chinese and was localized since then. This Pancit Bihon Recipe uses

"Bihon" or rice sticks mixed with pork, chicken, shrimp and vegetables. This dish is always served during Fiesta, birthday parties, and other special occasions. 


Jumping from crisp to tender from one ingredient to another, Pancit Bihon or Pancit Guisado is a beautifull variety of our tasty Filipino favorites. It, of course, begins with the tender and slippery rice noodles that are given more flavor by a hefty cunt of additional ingredients. Includes our classic seasonings the form of soy sauce, garlic and onions. But we also have our meaty pork and chicken to add some savory protein. If this all sounds new to you, its about time you let yourself learn how to cook Pancit Bihon.


INGREDIENTS:

  • 450g pancit bihon noodles
  • 350g chicken breast and liver (sliced)
  • 1 big carrots (sliced)
  • 12 pieces baguio beans, sliced
  • 1 small cabbage (sliced)
  • 2 stalks celery (chopped)
  • 3 medium onions (sliced)
  • 10 cloves garlic (chopped)
  • 5 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 5 tbsp. oyster sauce
  • 1 piece Knorr Chicken Cube
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt to taste
  • 7 cups hot water
  • 3 tbsp. oil



STRUCTIONS:

  1. In a pot add two cups of water and chicken, add 1 small carrot, 1 small onion, 1 celery leg, salt and pepper. Let it boil until tender under medium heat. Set the chicken broth for later 
  2. Shred the chicken meat and set aside.
  3. In a large wok, Saute the garlic and onion.
  4. Add the shredded chicken then let cook for 2 minutes
  5. Add the chicken cube and water then simmer for 15 minutes
  6. Add in the carrots, pea pod, cabbage, and celery leaves and simmer for a few minutes
  7. Remove all the ingredients in the pot except for the liquid and set them aside
  8. In the pot with the liquid in, add the soy sauce and mix well
  9. Add the pancit bihon (make sure to first soak it in water for about 10 minutes) and mix well. Cook until liquid evaporates completely
  10.  Put-in the vegetables and meat that were previously cooked and simmer for a minute or two
  11. Serve hot. Share and enjoy!
