 Classic Spanish Tacos

Servings 2 - 3 servings


Ingredients:

  • 500 grams ground meat
  • 6 - 8 tortillas
  • 1/2 onion
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 teaspoon chilli powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • dash of cumin
  • dash of black pepper
  • origano (optional)
  • 2 tomatoes
  • fresh lettuce
  • cheese
  • guacamole
  • fresh red and green hot pepper (optional)
  • Lemon


Preparations:

  1. Roughly chop 1/2 onion and sauté onion in a dollop of oil over medium-high heat for a few minutes.
  2. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain any fat if vou want.
  3. Add 1 clove minced garlic and saute briefly
  4. Add 1 tablespoon chilli powder.
  5. You can optionally add dashes of cumin, oregano and black pepper.
  6. Add a couple of tablespoons of water and simmer over medium heat. By the time vou gather all the taco fixings, the meat will ready
  7. Far the taco shiells start by warming up com tortillas in the oven: Lightly brush with a neutral oil or cooking spray and drape over two oven rungs for 10-12 minutes at 375°F.
  8. Serve with diced tomatoes chopped lettuce: shredded cheese and guacamole optional.
