Tahithi Tuna Salad
An emblem of Polynesian cuisine, the traditional recipe for raw fish in coconut milk is made with red or white tuna which is "cooked" by the acidity of the lime juice with which it is sprinkled.
Servings: 4 people
Ingredients:
- 1/2 kilo fresh tuna
- 2 limes, juice
- 2 tomatoes
- 1 carrot
- Onions
- Coconut milk
- Salt
- Pepper
Preparations:
- Cut the tuna into small cubes (about 1cm side). The smaller the pieces, the faster the preparation will be.
- Place it in a salad bowl and squeeze the lemons over it. Cover and let "cook" for about 20 minutes.
- Once this time has elapsed, drain the fish cubes, possibly rinsing them under cold water if you are too concerned about the acidity of he lemon.
- Then add the tomatoes cut into small pieces, a piece of grated carrot (just for color).
- Season well with salt and pepper, cover with coconut milk.
