Chocolate Mousse
Preparation: 15 - 20 minutes
Servings: 4 mousses
Rest time: 2 hours
Eassy to make, fun to prepare, beautiful to look at and delicious to taste: what more could you ask for from a dessert?
Ingredients:
- 125 grams of dark chocolate, cut into piecces
- 4 large eggs
- 50 grams of white chocolate
Or:
- for a citrus flavor, add a grated orange zest to the melted chocolate.
- for a crunchy surprise, place a teaspoon of chopped hazelnuts on the bottom of the molds before pouring in the mousse.
Procedure:
- Place the chocolate pieces in a bowl, then place the bowl over a saucepan over the heat containing barely boiling water.
- Separate the egg yolks from the whites, picking up the egg whites in a bowl and the yolks in a small bowl.
- Remove the melted chocolate from the heat and stir until it cools down. Beat the egg yolks and slowly incorporate them into the chocolate, stirring
- Whip the egg whites into stiff peaks in the bowl.
- With the spatula, incorporate the whipped egg whitesinto the chocolate, mixing gently.
- Pour gently the mousse in the cups and leave them in the fridge for 2 hours. Decorate the mousse with the greated white chocolate and serve. Bon appetit!
