 Chocolate Mousse

Preparation: 15 - 20 minutes

Servings: 4 mousses

Rest time: 2 hours

Eassy to make, fun to prepare, beautiful to look at and delicious to taste: what more could you ask for from a dessert?

Ingredients:

  • 125 grams of dark chocolate, cut into piecces
  • 4 large eggs
  • 50 grams of white chocolate
Or:
  • for a citrus flavor, add a grated orange zest to the melted chocolate.
  • for a crunchy surprise, place a teaspoon of chopped hazelnuts on the bottom of the molds before pouring in the mousse.

Procedure:
  1. Place the chocolate pieces in a bowl, then place the bowl over a saucepan over the heat containing barely boiling water.
  2. Separate the egg yolks from the whites, picking up the egg whites in a bowl and the yolks in a small bowl.
  3. Remove the melted chocolate from the heat and stir until it cools down. Beat the egg yolks and slowly incorporate them into the chocolate, stirring
  4. Whip the egg whites into stiff peaks in the bowl.
  5. With the spatula, incorporate the whipped egg whitesinto the chocolate, mixing gently.
  6. Pour gently the mousse in the cups and leave them in the fridge for 2 hours. Decorate the mousse with the greated white chocolate and serve. Bon appetit!
