Chicken Barbecue

 Pinoy Chicken Barbecue

Cooking time: 30 minutes

Serving: 4 persons


Ingredients:

  • 4 pieces pieces chicken leg, cleaned
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1 piece lemon or 5 calamansi
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup banana ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions:

  1. Make the marinade by combining the soy sauce, lemon juice, ketchup, salt, ground black pepper in a bowl, stir to mix.
  2. Put the chicken leg quarters in the prepared marinade. Mix gently then cover the bowl with air-tight cling film the refrigerate overnight.
  3. Remove the chicken from the bowl and transfer the remaining marinade to a bowl.
  4. Heat-up your grill and start grilling the chicken under medium heat for 12 to 15 minutes per side until the chicken is completely cooked. Baste the chicken with the remaining marinade mixture.
  5. Remove the thr chicken from the grill and transfer to a serving plate.
  6. Serve with steamed rice and cooked vegetable of your choice as a side dish.
