Banana Upside-Down Cake
Ingredients:
For the caramel
• 200 g of sugar• 80 g of butter
• 2 tablespoons of liquid cream
• 2 large bananas (enough to cover the mold)
For the cake
• 140 g of sugar
• 250 g of semi-complete rice flour
• 2 tsp gluten-free baking powder
• 3 bananas
• 80 g of butter
• 2 eggs
Preparation:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Start by making a dry caramel with the 200g of sugar.
- When it gets to a nice golden color, add the butter and cream off the heat.
- Put back on the fire and stir until you get a homogeneous caramel.
- Pour into the bottom of the mold. Place slices of banana on top.
- Prepare the cake by pouring the flour, baking powder, sugar, melted butter, mashed bananas and eggs into the bowl. Whisk until you get a smooth batter and pour gently the cake so as not to move the bananas.
- Put in the oven for 45 minutes.
- Leave to cool before unmolding and enjoy
